EMOS – Express Money Order System for Individuals

This system is intended to offer the full complex of services related to express money orders of individuals both within a multibranch bank and through international cash funds transfer systems.

Implemented in EMOS is the following major functionality:-

  • The receipt and payment of cash funds transferred both within the bank and through international cash funds transfer systems (with calculating automatically fees and verifying automatically compliance with currency regulations);
  • The ability of blocking and recalling a transfer (for intrabank transfer systems only);
  • The import of cash funds transfer registers to the system (a special import-export subsystem makes it possible to work with data received from other information systems by converting them into XML format for import to EMOS this rendering data exchange possible in international cash funds transfers);
  • The ability of providing additional services (notifying transfer recipients, cash funds delivery by a courier);
  • The application and verification of an electronic digital signature at all the stages of the life cycle of a transfer within the system;
  • The assurance of a two-stage monitoring of operator's actions;
  • Personal reconciliations by operator and reconciliations by unit;
  • Mutual settlements between the Bank's Head Office and units; and
  • Producing reports on and consolidated registers of operations performed for international express money order systems.

EMOS makes it possible to tune the calculation of fees and commissions and other rules of foreign currency transfer in accordance with law, as well as monitors a strict compliance with the currency regulations in the receipt and payment of transfers. A common data warehouse provided for transfers received from any payment system assists this. If currency regulations change, it is sufficiently enough for the system administrator to enter this changes into the business settings.

Ability of Integration with Automated Banking System

For big banks with an extensive branch network, it is especially expedient to create a common information space which makes it possible to execute money orders in any currency and for any distance promptly, reliably and safely.

Such common information space for the bank's whole structure enables the process of money order information transfer and receipt to be sped up significantly. As a result, an amount transferred may be paid to its recipient in less than a minute after recording its sending off.

Integration Agent intermediary module ensure the integration of EMOS with the bank's trading day system. The EMOS capabilities are enhanced significantly if integrated with ABS B2; in particular, if these are employed jointly, the synchronization of data about cash funds the receipt and payment may be automated.
