[CS implemented the project of OTP Bank’s migration to a new processing]

In the end of the past year OTP Bank migrated to the Ukrainian processing upon the National Bank of Ukraine demand. The migration project was successfully performed by the CS company.

In order to perform bank’s migration from the earlier used processing center of its parent structure to the processing of the Ukrainian processing center (UPC) CS had to integrate key systems of the bank.

Pavel Fedorenko and Alexander Golovko, project managers of the CS company shared the details of this migration project.

- It is not an easy thing to change the bank’s card system. Especially if we need to save the existed processes and functionality of operating forms of SUBA and Siebel front-office systems where registration and service of customers card products is performed.

As a result OTP Bank received integration of its key systems:

  • CBS B2 – for card products servicing and NBU reporting generation;
  • CBS FlexCube – for non-card products servicing;
  • JetB2 MiddleWare, integration element of the SOAP-architecture, - for SUBA front-office system and CBS B2 interaction;
  • Card Issuing system IS-Card and UPC processing center;
  • iB2 system of a common card account;
  • iFOBS online banking system.

An important integration element was the iB2 system extended with a new HostGate module. New module provided transferring data about all completed authorizations from the processing center into the bank card issuance system which turned the IS-Card system into the source of the most up to date information about the balances on card accounts.

Within the bounds of the project the analytics of card accounts was developed. It enabled the bank to generate NBU reserves and reports by means of CBS B2 capabilities and optimize operating expenses for bank’s IT-infrastructure support.

The use of JetB2 MiddleWare as an integration element between all solution components provided the smoothness of migration to a new processing. Developed web services for all IT-systems interaction enabled to leave a single customer service point.

It should be mentioned that transfer to the Ukrainian processing was carried out almost unnoticed by both the bank customers and the employees of the bank. That’s why there was no need to re-skill the employees in charge of customer servicing.

“Success of any integration project depends on coordinated actions of all suppliers. We would like to thank OTP Bank for its decision to make us the main integrator of this project. Thanks to the coordinated work of our specialists, as well as the UPC and OTP Bank all project objectives have been achieved at a stated time”– Dmytro Radchenko, director of the CS company commented.
