A year has passed that became a turning point in understanding true values ​​and priorities. A year that tested representatives of Ukrainian business for sustainability, adaptability and the ability to maintain the level of services no matter what. A year that proved that strength is in unity and cohesion. We share the results of our work.

SOLUTIONS

B2ng

In 2022, the first full-fledged implementation of the B2 CBS took place in a new modern web interface – B2ng. The user of the solution was OTP Bank (Republic of Moldova).

Project features:

  • The entire business process of the bank is built in B2ng
  • Work with multi-currency documents is implemented both in the General Ledger and in transactions
  • A multilingual interface is implemented
  • B2ng acts as a card back

B2ng is distinguished by flexibility and adaptability, which allows it to be a single interface
for the B2 CBS for any market.

As for the functionality of B2ng, the application allows you to work not only with modules similar to those presented in the win32 client, but also offers completely new features, such as working in the subsystems “Client SWAP”, “Brokerage Operations”, etc.

The card direction received rapid development in 2022. B2ng has implemented three new subsystems for card services:

  • “Salary projects and social payments” – for servicing salary projects and other agreements related to social payments (for example, pension payments).
  • “Reconciliation” – to find differences between similar entities in the B2 CBS and the card system.
  • “Dispute transactions” – to service the life cycle of customer complaints about card transactions that they consider illegal.

Also, the functionality of the already known “Logistics” subsystem has been expanded in the context of business needs and user convenience.

SEP-4

In 2022, our team implemented the functionality for exchanging messages via SEP-4 in B2ng, which fully meets the requirements of the international standard ISO 20022. Within the framework of SEP-4, a new security technology was also implemented based on the use of signatures in the CAdES-BES and CAdES-X Long formats. Let us remind you that from April 1, 2023, all interbank payment transactions will be carried out exclusively through the new generation system SEP-4.0. We are sincerely grateful to all banks that actively joined the testing of SEP-4.

ISMAx

In December 2022, the Management Accounting Department presented ISMAx – a new system for management accounting based on the CS::BI/CS::BM repository. ISMAx is used to calculate direct and transfer income and expenses, allocate indirect expenses, as well as calculate transfer income and expenses for Forex transactions. It is a replacement for the basic subsystem of ISMA CBS B2 with expanded functionality for banks using CS::BI/CS::BM data warehouses.

Budgeting (RnB)

The budgeting subsystem – “Budgeting (RnB)” has received a complete update. Now it is possible to:

  • Independently create business processes of any complexity using the business process diagram designer, containing data on budget roles, the state of budget requests, as well as tools for setting up operations, etc.
  • Use the budget request as a document archive.
  • Save all information related to the justification of expenses: information on the search for potential suppliers, stages of approval of the request by participants in the budget process, and also store an archive of external documents.
  • Monitor plans: monthly, annual, from the beginning of the year cumulatively.
  • Reflect in the bank’s budget plan expected and actual expenses, as well as changes (rolling wave analysis of the budget plan).

PROJECTS

Despite all the difficulties, our team has successfully implemented a number of local and international projects.

JSC OTP Bank (Republic of Moldova)

AT JSC OTP Bank (Republic of Moldova) the CBS B2 was implemented and integrated with all the systems used in the bank’s work. The peculiarity of the project was that the entire business process of the bank was built in the web interface of the CBS B2 – B2ng.

Kapitalbank (Republic of Uzbekistan)

The corporate data warehouse CS::BM was implemented in Kapitalbank (Republic of Uzbekistan).

To date:

  • The ability to load, store and consolidate data from two banks in one corporate data warehouse CS::BM has been implemented with the ability, depending on access rights, to analyze consolidated or individual data. The analysis is performed using Oracle Analytics Server 6.4.
  • The data loading procedures have been adapted to the structure of the CBS B2.
  • Adaptation/localization of data marts according to the requirements of Uzbekistan’s banks was completed.
  • A card data mart was developed based on bank card data from CBS B2.
  • A salary project mart was developed based on CBS B2 data.

OTP Bank Ukraine

It is worth noting the fruitfulness of our company’s cooperation with OTP Bank Ukraine.
The transition to B2ng started in the bank with the implementation of a module that allows automating work with a new tool from the NBU – “Interest SWAP”. Several more projects are in the final stage, including integration for loading accounts receivable data for generating NBU reports. Testing has also been completed and a pilot project (with real data in production) of an integration solution with the bank’s external software for leasing accounting using file exchange has been launched. The goal of the project is to generate consolidated group reports in accordance with NBU requirements.

Raiffeisen Bank

Raiffeisen Bank has automated the work of treasury back office employees involved in securities transactions. The implementation of the project allowed the bank to minimize operational risks of manual input, facilitate work with securities and increase the throughput of the back office.

Ukreximbank

JSC Ukreximbank has implemented an integration module for working with the SWIFT gpi standard. Using the module will allow the bank to display in SWIFT gpi a real picture of the message processing time and the movement of funds in customer accounts.

SENS Bank

As part of the Mobile Investments project, a number of integration solutions have been implemented, including API procedures that allow clients of JSC Sens Bank to buy and sell securities and perform many other actions directly in the mobile application.

Kredobank

Years of cooperation between our company and Kredobank confirm the bank’s commitment to continuous improvement. In addition to implementing new solutions, the bank also pays attention to the development of existing products. At the moment, the priority areas are the development of online banking and card business.

Bank Lviv

Bank Lviv has implemented the Budgeting (RnB) system, which has contributed to the increased efficiency of the bank’s control over administrative and business expenses, standardization and optimization of budget processes.

Also, the Verifone VX520 POS terminal was integrated with the JetB2 front-end system for Bank Lviv. Thanks to this implementation, the bank was able to quickly perform transactions with bank cards at the bank’s cash desks, monitoring the available balance on the cards. This integration also allowed the bank to reflect accounting entries for these transactions in the bank’s operating day without delay, keeping the balances on card accounts up-to-date.
In addition to integrating POS terminals with CBS B2, at the end of 2022, the bank implemented online processing of card transactions (Advice) carried out on the cards of the bank’s clients outside CBS B2 (trading terminals, ATMs, online stores). The main goal of this implementation was to reduce the number of technical overdrafts arising due to the bank’s offline exchange with processing. The implementation of this solution made it possible to promptly reflect transactions on clients’ card accounts, that is, to perform a certain synchronization of card balances in processing and CBS B2. Previously, card transactions were reflected in the CBS B2 the next day. Now, such transactions are processed 1–2 minutes after the corresponding client transaction. At the moment, the bank uses Advice only for ATMs.

Idea Bank

The volumes of the CBS B2 database have been optimized in JSC Idea Bank thanks to the implementation of the Archiving Policy module.

IBOX Bank

To centralize card transactions and issue an unlimited number of cards, a subsystem of the card servicing complex, Card Back Office, was implemented in IBOX Bank.

SUPPORT

The main objective of the work during the war was to provide support related to the uninterrupted operation of banks and timely response to changes in legislation. In the very first hours of the war, the NBU promptly adopted the Resolution of the Board of February 24, 2022 No. 18 “On the operation of the banking system during the introduction of martial law”.
Our task was to promptly prepare recommendations and corresponding changes to the CBS.

The requirements for the operation of banking institutions in wartime conditions changed and were clarified depending on the current situation. Thus, the first clarifications and additions appeared already in the evening of February 24, 2022, and as of today there are about 40 of them.
In connection with the introduction of martial law, the requirements for accounting of transactions, calculation of economic standards, formation of statistical reporting of the NBU and reporting of the Deposit Guarantee Fund changed. The corresponding improvements were completed and implemented in a timely manner.

Also, due to the introduction of martial law, the National Bank, in accordance with the Resolution of February 25, 2022 No. 23, announced a credit holiday – accordingly, the algorithms for calculating credit risk were changed, recommendations were prepared and improvements were made in order to implement various programs based on the capabilities of banks.
24/6 support was not stopped for a single day.

We continue to work to ensure the stable operation of banks, fulfilling not only the requirements related to changes in existing functionality, but also new requirements arising from banks and legislative bodies.

SUPPORT AND ASSISTANCE

From the first day of the war, our team has been at the epicenter of military events. Most of our colleagues from the Kharkiv head office were forced to leave their hometown. For those who decided to stay, the office became a temporary refuge. We provided the team with assistance with relocation, supplied the necessary equipment and opened an office in Lviv. In March, the office in Kyiv resumed work. On an ongoing basis, our company helps the Armed Forces of Ukraine purchase the necessary protective clothing, equipment and various equipment.
