Implementation of a Comprehensive IT Solution for Bank Lviv
Since its establishment in 1990, Bank Lviv has focused on providing high-quality banking services to SME businesses and agricultural producers, as well as private clients in Western Ukraine.
The bank is owned by the Swiss investment fund ResponsAbility (51%) and an Icelandic private investor (49%).
This year, JSC CB "Lviv" celebrates its 30th anniversary and is recognized as one of the 20 most reliable banks in Ukraine.
The bank has become an influential player with one of the widest branch networks in the region, serving over 25,000 private and business clients. One of the bank's key competencies is facilitating financing and financial services for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises.
Currently, the bank serves over 5,000 SME clients.
CHALLENGE
At the beginning of 2016, Bank Lviv faced the need to modernize its technological systems. The bank required comprehensive automation to improve customer service efficiency and optimize internal processes. A key challenge was implementing a modern core banking system with remote service capabilities for different customer categories. In January 2016, the bank signed an agreement with CS for the supply of a solution package to automate and optimize the bank’s operations.
SOLUTION
The software solution for Bank Lviv was formed from the B2 Core Banking System (CBS B2) for bank automation and optimization, along with internet banking systems for corporate and private clients – iFOBS.Corporate and iFOBS.WebPrivate respectively.
The CBS B2, containing more than 100 modules, was implemented almost in its complete configuration, successfully covering the bank’s requirements. An important technical feature of the project was that the Jet B2 web client was launched on an Oracle GlassFish server for the first time (previously it had operated on Oracle Weblogic and IBM WebSphere servers).
RESULTS
The implemented iFOBS.Corporate system allowed Bank Lviv to organize remote banking services for corporate clients with maximum security and efficiency. The iFOBS.WebPrivate system significantly expanded customers’ ability to perform operations remotely, reducing the workload on branches and the cost of serving individual clients.
Both internet banking systems were successfully integrated with processing and enabled more quality customer service.
