The Analytics and Support Department at CS has launched a training course for senior-year students of economics faculties. The idea is to provide students with the opportunity to test their skills in real-world conditions while working with the most widely used core banking system in Ukraine – CBS B2 – and to gain practical knowledge.
Following the course, the most talented participants join the CS team in Junior Analyst positions.
Training and Internship Conditions
The course format involves remote work with a mentor: each intern has the opportunity to receive support, advice, and feedback throughout the learning process and task completion. Communication is conducted via the corporate messenger MS Teams, and participants are given access to documentation and a virtual version of CBS B2 to fully immerse themselves in the working environment.
At the beginning of the internship, participants are offered topics for individual research. The task is to explore the selected topic using documentation, the software system, and publicly available resources. The final stage is a project defense in the form of a presentation, which should demonstrate analytical skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to work independently.
Partner University Network and Support from the Ministry of Education
It is worth noting that the CBS B2 course has been taught in Ukrainian universities since 2010. In 2022, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and CS signed a memorandum of cooperation.
Currently, CS’s network of educational partners includes:
- Karazin Kharkiv National University
- Ivan Franko National University of Lviv
- Poltava Polytechnic
- Lviv Polytechnic National University
- and others.
Why It Matters
CBS B2 is the most widely used core banking system in Ukraine, operating in 62% of the country’s banks, as well as abroad. Proficiency in this CS software product significantly enhances the competitiveness of young professionals in the job market and opens new career prospects for them.
Oleg Vyazmitinov, Director of CS:
“Despite the war, CS continues to invest in education and the future of the industry. We believe that supporting talented youth is not only a contribution to the company’s development but also a step toward an innovative future for the financial sector.”
