CS has unveiled a new subsystem in B2ng called “Suspicion Indicators.” Implemented in accordance with the National Bank of Ukraine’s Regulation No. 65 “On the Approval of the Procedure for Financial Monitoring by Banks,” this subsystem focuses on customer activities, financial transactions, and behaviors. Banks can autonomously define suspicion indicators based on typological studies from the State Financial Monitoring Service and their own experiences. Utilizing this subsystem will help reduce bank risks by timely detecting suspicious indicators and ensuring compliance with regulatory demands.
About Suspicion Indicators
Suspicion Indicators are signs that a customer may be engaging in suspicious activities or fits into a list of factors that require attention from the bank’s financial monitoring department. Indicators can be set manually or calculated automatically, with the ability to add custom indicators and adjust the list recommended by the National Bank based on internal policies and operational specifics.
Subsystem Functionality
The “Suspicion Indicators” subsystem includes several components:
- “Suspicion Indicators Management” to manage the list of indicators, configure combinations of characteristics for detection, and set quantitative thresholds.
- “Suspicion Indicator Document Templates” to configure document templates used in the automatic calculation of suspicion indicators.
- “Detected Suspicion Indicators” to provide prompt notification about detected indicators, make decisions on further escalation of suspicions, and record the timing and details of relevant events.
For the subsystem to function, it requires specification of suspicion indicators and their parameters for client verification. The system automatically performs verification and selection of records that meet the specified parameters. Selected records are displayed on the “Detected Suspicion Indicators” form in an “Open” state.
For each record on the “Detected Suspicion Indicators” form, a responsible bank specialist can be assigned to analyze the record and document the outcome — either permitting the client’s activities or confirming suspicions.
