Comprehensive IT Infrastructure Modernization of Idea Bank

Idea Bank has been operating in the Ukrainian market since 1989 and since 2007 has been part of one of the largest financial groups in Eastern and Central Europe - Getin Holding S.A., Republic of Poland. For several consecutive years, despite all the challenges of Ukraine's economic crises, the bank has maintained leading positions in the retail segment. Idea Bank is also recognized by experts as one of the most stable banks in the country and ranks among the top 20 most reliable banks in Ukraine, according to several authoritative ratings.
CHALLENGE
Idea Bank needed to update software in all of its branches and implement new online services for remote customer service.
SOLUTION
As part of the project implemented jointly with CS company, the following was deployed:
- CBS B2 (Core Banking System), in which almost all main functional modules of the system were installed, as well as “Loans” modules and automation of settlements with credit partners
- Front-office system Jet B2
- System for interaction with credit history bureaus CB::Connector
- JetB2 MiddleWare web services for integration of the bank’s internal front-office systems and Pentegy internet banking with CBS B2
The JetB2 front-office system provides:
- Execution of cash operations
- Servicing loans and deposits
- Opening current and card accounts
- Onboarding new clients
- Conducting currency operations (FX transactions, SWIFT transfers)
Together with CS company, the bank also implemented the iFOBS remote banking system for corporate clients and the iB2 software solution for authorizing corporate card operations. To ensure payment security, the iSignDesktop program was implemented, which allows working in iFOBS internet banking with digital signature keys in all modern browsers.
Thanks to the implemented solutions, Idea Bank clients gained access to such relevant services as:
- Remote management of corporate accounts and cards
- Making payments in national and foreign currencies
- Working with the company’s loan portfolio
- Managing payroll projects
- Connecting to SMS notification service and many others
RESULTS
The project implementation proceeded with clear coordination of actions between the bank’s specialists and the developer company, which allowed for the installation of the above-mentioned systems in the bank’s production environment within optimal timeframes for a project of such scale.
