CBS B2 SUBSYSTEMS FOR MANAGERIAL ACCOUNTING AND PLANNING

The managerial accounting subsystem is implemented in two variants of technical architecture: based on CBS B2 – ISMA, and based on the CS::BI repository – ISMAx. The ISMAx solution offers more extensive functionality and is in demand by banks that use the CS::BI/BM data warehouse based on Oracle Analytics.

The "RnB Budgeting" expense planning subsystem, which allows for operational cost control, is implemented based on CBS B2.

ISMA (ISMAX)

The ISMA (ISMAx) managerial accounting subsystem from CS allows for quickly collecting and processing information used for managerial decision-making, as well as conducting its most accurate analysis.

Main capabilities of ISMA (ISMAx):

  • Preparation of data on operational income and direct costs
  • Preparation of data on indirect costs (allocation)
  • Calculation of transport income/expenses based on the Balance of Transport Resources (BTR)
  • Calculation of Forex Financial Market operations profitability and Bank PnL Reporting

Advantages:

  • Global calculation of full, variable, target costs and costs by activity types
  • Large number of algorithms used, including new economic ones, easy implementation of new algorithms
  • Complete historization, use of historical parameterization table
  • Accounting for post-factum changes and automatic targeted recalculation of parameters
  • Ability to recalculate any complexity over long periods
  • Precise correlation of income and expenses for financial instruments, including those not directly linked to CBS B2 to a specific monetary instrument
  • Flexible system configuration
  • Integration of ISMA (ISMAx) with CBS B2 subsystems and other third-party systems
  • No load on the CBS B2 working database (all parameterization in the data warehouse)
  • Convenient CBS B2 visualization, comfortable web interface

RnB BUDGETING

The subsystem ensures the Bank's control over administrative and operational expenses, standardization, and optimization of budget processes.

Main capabilities:

  • Administration of budget requests (one-time purchase/long-term contract with a procurement schedule). Storage of all information in the budget request to justify expenses: regarding the search for potential suppliers, stages of request approval by budget process participants, archive of external documents.
  • Approval of purchases and contracts for works/services.
  • Control over the execution of the Bank's Financial Plan by budget items and responsibility centers. Control of plans: monthly, annual, and year-to-date cumulative.
  • Display of expected and actual expenses in the banking budget plan, as well as changes (rolling wave budget plan analysis).
  • Data integration with the "Internal Economic Activity" subsystem of CBS B2 and creation of contracts in the "Internal Economic Activity" subsystem of CBS B2.
  • Budget control of outgoing documents.

Advantages:

  • Possibility for the Bank's team to independently create business processes of any complexity (approval schemes) using the business process scheme designer, which contains tools and data: budget roles, status of budget requests, tools for configuring operations, etc.
  • Effective control by the Bank over its expenses related to administrative and economic activities, standardization, and optimization of budget processes.
