CS has been invited as a partner to the International Chess Tournament arranged by Sberbank of Russia. The Tournament was held in Kiev, NSC “Olimpiyskiy”, on June 3–8, 2013.
Igor Yushko, the Chairman of the Board at Sberbank of Russia JSC, states: the event was intended to attract public attention to the topic of youth intellectual development. The organizers’ main efforts were popularization of playing chess, advanced training of chess players and encouragement of children sports.
Among the Tournament participants were such world grand masters as Anatoliy Karpov, Sergey Karyakin, Veselin Topalov, Peter Leko, Evgeniy Tomashevskiy, Alexandr Areschenko, Arkadiy Naydich, Sergey Zhigalko, Pavel Elyanov, Anton Korobov as well as 200 young chess players from CIS, Europe and Asia and Sberbank team players.
Within the event there were held several competitions: the Grand Master Tournament on quick chess, the Children Open Tournament on classical chess and the Tournament on quick chess for Sberbank team players.

The Tournament was held at the top of professional and organizational level. We thank Sberbank of Russia for a chance to view and participate in such a considerable event. We chose the Audience Award to present with and it was won by a very talented young player Egor Furman. We are sure such a popularization of this intellectual kind of sports will encourage young sportsmen for further wins.
