[iB2 System]

iB2 System

iB2 system provides online integration with card system components and automates the client card products operation in CBS B2.

Functionally, the iB2 system includes 3 modules with independent licenses:

  • Emission module
  • Authorization module
  • SyncGate module

Emission module

A module for integration with card issuing system.

Main task – providing automation of the card products issuing process, including the links adjusting between the product type in CBS B2 (type of the Current Account Product) and available account opening options, as well as card ordering in the card system; providing frames for account opening or registering it in the card system and ordering cards to account, with simultaneous client registration in the card system.

Additional features – operation with pre-personalized (Instant) cards, automation of the product closing process, synchronization of exchange rates, changes in the account status synchronized with the card issuing system, account statement request and so on within the framework of the APIs provided by the external card emission.

Authorization module

A module for online integration with processing system.

Main task – providing the online request for the available card balance and authorizations of card transaction during creation, processing of documents or during the posting of documents in CBS B2.

Additional features – limit management, card blocking, mini-statement request and so on, depending on the APIs provided by processing system for requests to the bank system.

The authorization module supports POS ISO: 8583 standard protocol for integration with processing systems, as well as specialized web service protocols of Tieto, Way4 and other systems.

To obtain request parameters to the processing system, the authorization module can integrate with external emission systems (IS-Card, SmartVista, etc.) and with the CBS B2 card module, which provides its own implementation of the card products emission system.

SyncGate module

A module for accounting operations performed in processing system.

Main task – the module provides receiving the information about financial transactions from the processing system and transferring this information to the card issue system for accounting or processing it in order to update information about the available balance on the card or card account.

Main features – the module provides online transferring data about all completed authorizations from processing center into bank card issuing system which turns the card back-office into the source of the most up to date information about the balances on card accounts.

The standard Host-To-Host protocol, based on processing system ISO: 8583 standards, used to exchange advice messages allows to connect new processing centers.

iB2 system benefits

  • Customer service becomes easier. At the same time a client operates his card as a “common account”, managing the same funds by means of an ATM, in a shop, in a bank cash office or via an internet banking.
  • Risk reduction – online performing of card operations reduces the risk of an unauthorized overdraft occurrence.
  • A uniform approach to the settings of card products which used in the Emission module, a universal iB2 service protocol, together with many card systems integrated with iB2 system are reduce the time spent on settings and retraining of bank staff when the bank migrates from one card system to another.
  • SyncGate module provides receiving information about operations performed by customers. If the emission system supports the immediately process of incoming information, these operations can immediately perform the postings in the emission system, minimizing the difference in information not only about balances on card accounts, but also about postings on these accounts.

Technologies

  • Database server functioning is controlled with Oracle DBMS
  • Application server functioning is controlled with ASWebSphere, jBoss
  • Client workstation of the Emission module functions as a part of the CBS B2 client application or its Jet B2 web client
  • Interaction with a processing system is realized by means of ISO 8583 protocol (as a rule, only the formats of individual fields may differ) or by means of specialized web-service protocols of these systems
  • Interaction between the CBS B2 database and the card issuing system can be realized by means of DBLink or specialized web-service protocols
  • Interaction between systems can base on the bank’s integration bus
